HAPPY BIRTHDAY GLORIA!
eh you better feel honoured that i put that in pink ok. and u better savour it too. only get this opportunity to have your name in pink once a year in my blog. anyway thanks for being a retarded loserish high-pitched can't-sing-to-save-your life 'smoochiepooch'. haha though we've had a few rough patches in our relationship, who the hell remembers them anymore right. all i can remmeber is how we're such dangerous lab partners, you taking every opportunity to use the bunsen burner to burn my hair, you looking absolutely stupid moving 'back and forth, back and forth' on your chair just coz the bio lady instructed so but ending up crackig the watchglass anyway. you setting the wastepaper basket on fire while i'm away talking to nicole and then trying to BLOW IT OUT (but in the end dumping it intot he sink HAHA). you burning your own hair. you writing "a*v*n" on the small glass sheets and sticking them onto my face... actually it's just YOU. anyhow i've enjoyed my times spent with you although sometime u threaten to shatter my eardrums by, yes, singing. or rather, talking. and even though u tie up my hair into stupid braids during physics and threaten not to be my friend if i take them off, forcing me to hide them udner my collar, forcing mrs teo to scold me for not wearing my uniform properly, forcing me to tell her that u won't be my friend if i untie my hair, forcing her to give you that strange look, i still think u're a cool dude. and thanks for the party! it was fun! really... especially playing sissy my baby with quek jing chuwen sandra vicky and the other guys. although the guys really have no hand-eye coordination and vicky always loses coz she always laughs. oh and bombing them with the water balloons was fun too. oh and double wacko was crazy too! especially with quek calling "boon" even though she doesn't know who the heck boon is and calling marie "maria" in that maid way. HAHA. it really rocked. =) so stay idiotic and funky yeah? (on second thought, don't. please. we need to pass through sec4 safely without anymore mishaps.)

BLOODY HELL EVERYONE BETTER GO WATCH HOTEL RWANDA NOW. like RIGHT NOW. i'm serious. for the first time in my 8days-reading-career, i have found fault with it. this is ridiculous. how can hotel rwanda only garner TWO FREAKING MISERABLE STARS?! and what's that crap about "amateur acting"?! that lousy reviewer can go stick elektra up his ***. now let me tell you why u should go watch hotel rwanda.
1) the tissue paper industry is not doing very well. and you need at least two boxes of kleenex per woman when you watch this. (men a.k.a. less sensitive creatures only require half a box)
2) if you thought that tsunami was bad, the civil war between the hutu rwandans and the tutsi rwandans resulted in over a million deaths. and the world didn't even care because they were blacks. (so much for world peace huh?)
3) don cheadle. he's one hell of an actor. paul rusesabagina, the guy he acted as in the show, is the husband every woman dreams of. smart, successful, compassionate, witty, loving, brave, righteous... and the list goes on. and doncheadle, who always plays that typical loudmouthed american 'gangsta' actually went to africa to study the way the africans speak for his role in the show. gawd i love him.
4) sophie okonedo (who acted as tatiana rusesabagina, paul's wife) nick nolte (MY MUM'S FAVOURITE! who acted as colonel oliver. he volunteered to play this role in such a small-budget movie although he usually gets those high paying jobs) joaquin phoenix (who acted as jack the reporter. he's one of my favourite actors. anyon who watched the village would be in love with him too)... coz they're GREAT actors dammit.
5) this is actually a TRUE story of a TRULY courageous man who dared to fight against overwhelming odds.
6) i don't usually go gaga over movies. but i did over this one =)
7) if you have an ounce of humanity in you, you would go watch it
8) it's time we watched something worth our money.
9) really.
i mean the director cut down on the gore to get a PG rating but the horrors of seeing the dead bodies strewn across the streets, and people of the same race killing each other (it's just like teochews and cantonese fighting against each other just coz they're of different dialect) is enough to make me sick. it's just so wonderful how this high flying guy paul rusesabagina goes out of his way to help the tutsis even though he's a hutu. and it's great that someone came and made a movie out of him because it would be such a waste to let his legacy fade away in the anals of BBC. aiyah i think i'm crapping. point is, GO WATCH HOTEL RWANDA.

i sprained my ankle for the thousand and fity seventh time during training on thursday. actually my ankle was only the size of a tennis ball when i twisted it doing that bunny hop thing. but the self proclaimed sinseh, miss chow, started pummeling it and rubbing it and banging it here and there until it burgeoned to the size of a softball. but i appreciate her good intentions haha. so they didn't let me do anything during training. and since i didn't get to train, i did the next bes thing. irritate the hell out of the rest. haha. the main recipients of my irritation were bel and resh. =) if you look really closely, i bet you could spot a bald patch in bel's head where she was tearing hair out from. and resh's hair does look visibly shorter too doesn't it? so they retorted with a veryVERY sick joke which i can't say here. but... naughtyNAUGHTY bel. (br...chest-kicker part 2?) on friday we played a scrimmage against the juniors. SIGH. we were bashed like grapes in a shredding machine. huh?! ahwell u get the point. the worst part is, we have no excuse for our lousy playing and non-existent team spirit. ohwell i still love my teammates anyhow. they're the bestest team anyone could ever wish for and i'm sure we'll pick ourselves up and emerge stronger than ever. if anything it's coz coach believes in us. and we believe in ouselves. so my babies don't be discouraged and continue playing hard yeah? on a lighter note, i felt that ruoqi's pitching was wonderful. the strikes came in fast and hard. thanks for always keeping cool even though we let u down time and again. and thanks for being that calming presence whenever i'm feeling frustrated. and angela's pitching rocked too. in the two innings she pitched, i don't think we let in any runs. we might have let in one, maybe, but that's about it. WELL DONE GEE-STRING! and... RESH IS THE BESTEST FIRSTBASER IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD. i'm so proud of her i tell you! she alwyas strives to better herself and all her hard work has visibly paid off. she stops balls like... like no one can. and she stretches and jumps and bends inside out to get that wild throw and never fails to catch it... and her batting is helluva good too. YOU GO RESHIEPIE! and our juniors played very well too, they deserved hte win as much as we... didn't deserve it. they didn't let the fact that we're seniors intimidate them and played with hearts of lions. welldone dudies! anyway. this was a lousy week. it was so unfufilling. the softballers DIDN'T GO OUT FOR LUNCH EVEN ONCE. dammit i miss them.
