since bel has done her part, i shall blog too. ohhhboy! from sure-outs to group-toppers. now that's what i call a fightback. ham says my entries are always too jolly and descriptive and rambly. so i shall try not to be so jolly and descriptive and rambly.

i am ready to murder. you see, i was "sick" on sunday so i didn't go to church. sick in inverted commas usually means that i was too lazy to get out of bed. my brother came bounding home later.

bro: do u know what happened today? your teacher praised you in front of everyone. she said, "deborah is such a sociable girl. she's the only one who gets along so well with all the guys. you all should learn from her."
me: -wide awake and grinning from ear to ear- Naaaaah! really...
bro: yah she did. then A (name changed by brother to protect the culprit's identity) told me that it's because they have to give in to all your demands or you won't let them live in peace. but shh! i'm not supposed to tell you!
me: WHAT?! excuse me i'm sucha peaceful girl! i mean, don't tell me they didn't like playing sissymybaby and pepsicola and all my fun games!
bro: uhh...
me: even if they didn't they could've TOLD me right! not like i'll kill them or anything. i'm always open to new suggestions and constructive criticism. oh, btw, u better tell me who A is because the next time i see him i'm gonna beat him up so badly that he'll never ever get the chance to play sissymybaby again. =)

bah. BOYS.not as if they’re of any use right. they have totally zero hand-eye coordination. can’t even keep up with the girls in a simple game like sissymybaby. speaking of idiotic guys, i miss my corcor. which comes as a surprise seeing how i rubbed my hands in gleeful anticipation while he was moping around the house, dreading his upcoming enlistment into hell. i miss him quite abit. 1/8 of the noise in the house is gone. wonder how he'll look like with his shaven head. wonder whether army'll change him.

such a typical mum...
mum: bring more heads and shoulders shampoo! don't forget to wash thoroughly and rub deep into the scalp or your hair will become very smelly! and don't forget the heads and shoulders!
cor: not that i'll have much hair left to wash right.
mum: oh yah. then bring more soap ok. and i don't want you picking up those bad habits and swear words from the other boys ok.
cor: yah lah. i swear that i won't swear ok?

such an idiot. damn i miss him. speaking of missing, i miss huiting terribly. i mean i still talk to her on msn and stuff, but i dunno... she just seems so faraway to me. you know i really regret not hanging out more with her and stuff when she was still in singapore. it's just... i was really obssessed with softball and my batchmates that i neglected everything else that really mattered. my studies, christine and yvonne, church, and especially huiting. she was such a great senior. yakking away on those endless journeys home together. always giving me great advice and stuff despite her playful nature. always bullying and boo-ing me. and she never failed to cheer me up with that perpetual grin on her face. albeit a retarded one, but still it brightened up my day. sigh. really miss going home with her. now i have no one "older and wiser telling me what to do"... what with my corcor swearing away in tekkong and huiting pining away in australia. sighhhh. another thought just struck me. if i'm missing her so much already, how about... SIGHHH. they're really the perfect couple man. besides jennifer aniston and bradjerkpitt of course.

school's killing me and i'm killing school and we're both killing each other so i don't want to talk about that.

wow. that's all i can say about our nationals so far. actually, it's not. can still remember how broken we were when we lost to ftp. we weren't even like sad or anything. just broken. then we found out the the runs the AES scored against us wouldn't be taken into consideration should a three way tie occur. we weren't so broken after that. probably about half broken only. then we played against peicai and made coach proud of us. we were mended. then we found out we topped the group. we were enlightened man! ohhboy! as xianhui put it, peicai match was "nothing short of a miracle". kudos to peicai. they are great players and i'm proud to have played them, beaten them. i wish they had gotten in man. was really our fault that they didn't get in to the next round. wish we hadn't been such suckers and gifted the game to ftp. having said that, i'm really proud of the team. from 8-2 down, we managed to claw back, eventually losing 10-9. that game was filled with many if onlys =( but peicai match was wonderful man. we knew what we had to do, and got the job done. ruoqi's pitching was GREAT. simply GREAT. although it wasn't as good as her warmups, which were killers (u can ask ellen). our batting was okay, but our baserunning was pathetic, so to speak. i mean i slipped and fell TWICE at first base. ellen slipped and fell at first. ruoqi slipped and fell at first. christin slipped and fell at first. ellen slipped and fell even before she had started running to first, following that brilliant bunt. the worst part is, i felt so fast! like i was running damn fast to first base, making sure that i was going to overrun it. coach asked me to turn to second. shit man, i was running like way off my usual speedometer range, so i couldn't turn to second in time and when i tried to brake at first base, ended up skating on the base instead. and when i fell down, i was so humiliated that i just lay there, sprawled out in the mud. then coach SCREAMED at me to go for two. so there i was scrambling in the mud like a deluded pig, trying to get up. how i managed to eventual haul myself up from the ground, i wonder. at first i thought it was damn funny. but after a quiet reflection on third (i forgot to take a lead!), i guess it wasn't as impressive as i initially thought. well what to do. and ellen! HAHA. now THAT ONE was hilarious! you see, ellen made a beautiful bunt. like a sure-safe type of bunt. coz it was a surprise bunt and the fielders were standing so far away. in all eagerness to run, ellen spun around ready to make one of her signature drunken dashes. sadly, it ended way before it had started. for when she made the first step, she slipped and plopped. like splat into the mud. HAHA. it was. very. very. very. FUNNY. i'm not surprised that ruoqi fell though. with hand-feet-eye-any-limb combination as bad as hers, union with the mud was an inevitability. i'm surprised christin fell. but i'm happy too. she got her just desserts man. what with steamrollering anyone who's in her way, i'm glad she's found her match. in the mud. this is so sad. i'm such a sad person. i mean, if the highlight of my game was watching people come and go, watching people run and fall... must really say something about me right. yes, it was a good game. but as coach said, we left walking on a thin rope (i think he meant thin ice). our defence was... erm... bad. bad! thank god for ruoqi's pitching man. (and i do not waddle up to her with a big grin on my face. OKAY. siddle up, maybe. but definitely not WADDLE. and definitely not with a cheesy grin.) our batting was... erm... ok but we definitely can do better(batter). i can't believe none of us fouled straight at baibai and her bloody laptop. stupid nosey woman. we'll show her not to mess with coach's teams man. and our baserunning... bad! bad! bad! haha. not only were we slow we were clumsy man. seriously i've never seen any team as clumsy as us. RESH for the last time, i hope, DON'T CHUG!!! even ruoqi's running faster than her usual 7 steps per hour man! probably like.. reaching 10 steps per hour in recent games. well done man. my million dollar pitcher =) and i'm sure the rest of u are unanimous in that we owe alot to ruoqi this season. never failing to get on base. getting that crucial hoomerun (remember crescent src?). and pitching like... like... she's possessed. u rock man. u "roq". sigh i'm so jealous man. but it's not only ruoqi. we managed to overcome that unecessary glitch in our campaign because of the power of TSB. i'm so honoured to be a TSBM. ok here we go again... but seriously, as in SERIOUSLY, not the here-we-go-again seriously, we're such a wonderful batch. we're so special. so close. so bonded. we're sisters. and we never wanna let each other down. sigh but we're missing that... erm... belief that we are actually good enough. as ruoqi put it, "it's not that we don't believe in the team. i really believe in you. it's just that we don't believe in ourselves. like i don't believe in myself." I KNOW! that's exactly how i feel man. like i know that WE can do it. but i'm afraid that I will be the on that will cause US to lose it. like that kind of feeling u know? like i'm pretty darn proud of all my teammates. for what they've done for the team. but i'm not proud of myself coz i feel like i havne't contributed enough. U KNOW WAD I MEAN?! of course u do =) we're the TSB after all. and as ellen said, "we managed to get second in sec 2 despite all that screaming crying and bickering on the field." and as xh and i have always believed, we still have the kampung spirit, that gungho spirit in us despite the modernization of the team by coach. we're really good now, skills-wise, not just winning based on luck. but we still haven't lost our special bond, our connection, our zest. our kambette. despite our spiffy new white jerseys and slacks and that shiny black belt with a gold buckle (a far cry from our days of untucked shirts and those pajama-like black slacks), deep down inside we're still the kampung dollies who trained with balls we had to restring after every toss and who did bat swings at home with broomsticks (unlike the personal bats our juniors have)... and i'm proud of that. =) let's not lose it this time ok? after coming so close in sec 2. let's not lose it ok? don't lose it. we can't afford to lose it. i really don't want to lose it. please.
